Net Optics Increases Enterprise-Wide Network Intelligence Through New Indigo PRO Management Platform
New appliance-based management platform provides unified view of hundreds of Net Optics intelligent network access devices.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – April 26, 2010 – Net Optics, Inc., the global leader in intelligent network access solutions, has extended the capabilities of its monitoring solutions with the addition of the Indigo PRO Management Platform. The Indigo PRO Management Platform enables customers to achieve of unified view of hundreds of Net Optics devices deployed across distributed locations. Through the deployment of Indigo PRO, customers expand overall network intelligence while greatly improving IT operational efficiency.
The Indigo PRO platform consists of two appliance-based management solutions – Indigo Manager Pro and Indigo Collector Pro – that both allow for management of all Net Optics network access appliances from a single interface. Indigo PRO is suitable for enterprise customers that wish to simplify the management of multiple data access solutions and reduce operational costs, while leveraging the built in data statistics capabilities of Net Optics devices. Existing large scale deployments of Net Optics products, as well as new deployments, can benefit from the traffic information conveyed through Net Optics products.
“The Net Optics Indigo PRO Management Platform is another step closer to our vision of providing end-to-end network solutions for intelligent data access, improving network management by creating 100 percent network visibility and improved network intelligence,” stated Sharon Besser, vice president of technology at Net Optics. “Our continued market leadership is illustrated through our unique value proposition, as Net Optics is the only vendor in the network access space that provides cross-product management solutions.”
Indigo PRO provides a network dashboard and compiled statistics focused on collected traffic that is emitted from Net Optics devices. Network managers will be able to identify, locate, and manage all network devices from a single console. Device information and status can be easily identified via a graphical representation of devices complete with panels, ports, LED views, and status information. Additionally, the traffic collected from SNMP and from emitting interfaces of Net Optics devices will be loaded into the management software, creating a central repository for network statistics. From this platform, real time statistics can be compared against collected statistics, and reports can be created from any timeframe, complete with both graphical and layered reports.
Furthering the Advanced Capabilities of Net Optics Director Pro
For Net Optics customers who have already deployed the Director Pro, or for customers who are planning on purchasing it, the Indigo PRO Management Platform allows network managers to take advantage of the full capabilities of this advanced access solution. The combination of Director Pro with Indigo Pro Management Platform solutions will allow users to leverage Director Pro’s unique deep packet inspection capabilities, payload pattern matching and packet and byte counters as well as packet rate calculations. Users will be able to analyze the number of packets and bytes transferred at every input or output interface from 1G to 10G speeds.
The Net Optics Indigo PRO Management Platform will be available for purchase by end of July, 2010. Delivered as an integrated solution, pricing starts at $18,900 (USD) and will be licensed by the number of nodes.
Net Optics will be launching the Indigo PRO Management Platform at Interop Las Vegas, April 27-29, 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. To learn more about the Indigo PRO Management Platform, and to see a demonstration of Director Pro and Net Optics’ array of network access products stop by booth #1925 in the Exhibition Hall.
